About the NWETC
The SA Wine Industry Association has been conducting wine courses since 1956.
The National Wine Education & Training Centre was established in 2001, to provide consumer wine education and appreciation classes at the newly opened National Wine Centre.
Since 2001, we have had more than 5000 people participate in one of our wine appreciation courses.
We have a wide range of participants, including people wanting to enhance their general wine knowledge, international residents of South Australia wishing to understand more about Australian Wine and cellar door and hospitality industry workers.

About SAWIA
Established in 1840, the South Australian Wine Industry Association is the peak body representing the
viticultural and winemaking interests in South Australia.
The association’s core functions are to provide leadership and strategy, to represent the industry and
lobby on its behalf, to create promotional opportunities for wineries and to provide advisory services
to members which underpin the sustainability and competitiveness of our members’ wine business.
