About the NWETC

The SA Wine Industry Association has been conducting wine courses since 1956.

The National Wine Education & Training Centre was established in 2001, to provide consumer wine education and appreciation classes at the newly opened National Wine Centre.

Since 2001, we have had more than 5000 people participate in one of our wine appreciation courses.
We have a wide range of participants, including people wanting to enhance their general wine knowledge, international residents of South Australia wishing to understand more about Australian Wine and cellar door and hospitality industry workers.

NWETC Charter
“To develop a world-class education program with the principle activity being wine appreciation for consumers to increase their knowledge of the range of Australian varieties, regions and winemaking techniques. “
