A sell-out crowd of 220 people joined eight wineries for a magical night in the Mortlock Wing of the State Library to celebrate SA’s History Festival and taste history. On Friday, May 5, the Mortlock hummed with people enjoying the tastes and historical tales of some of our state’s oldest wineries, notable wine families and historic wine regions.
Many thanks to Bec Hardy Wines, Kay Brothers, Lake Breeze Wines, Langmeil Winery, Norfolk Rise, Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards, Richard Hamilton Wines and Rymill Coonawarra for entertaining the engaged crowd.
Tickets to the event were $25 (+ GST & BF) and included an individual grazing box from Let Them Eat catering, a Great Wine Capital wine glass and two tasting tokens allocated to the wineries in attendance.
Over one hundred people also enjoyed a lecture from historian Carolyn Spooner “Wonderful World of Wine” before the wine-tasting session.
