Take off your ugg boots, get out from under that blanket, and shake yourself and your friends out of their winter hibernation for an evening – it’s time to socialise with a wine in hand.
Ten wineries are popping up in the foyer and Mammals Gallery of the South Australian Museum on Friday, July 13, all of whom are keen to share with you some very drinkable treats – wines that have been resting and maturing in preparation for this very moment.
RESERVED is an event designed to showcase museum, special release, cellar-door-only or reserved wines alongside more accessible ranges, so this is your chance to try some very special wines indeed!
Some of South Australia’s most beloved wineries will be there, but there are also some new brands to discover. Try, discuss and buy wine from Bremerton Wines, Burge Family Winemakers, Chain of Ponds, Eisenstone Wines, Hollick Estates, Hugo Wines, Karrawatta, Penny’s Hill, Schild Estate and Somerled.
‘We can’t have these outstanding wines without some delicious accompaniments’, we hear you say. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Supreme Sound will be playing tunes and Bre Parkes from Gather and Graze is preparing a table bursting with edible indulgences.
So really, the cold weather is no excuse for not enjoying an after work drink or three or catching up with family and friends surrounded by the majesty of the museum.
The evening will begin at 5.30pm and finish at 8.30pm. Entry is the purchase of a souvenir wine glass at the event for $5, and wines are for sale by the half or full glass, and by the bottle to take home or out to Friday night dinner.
RESERVED is presented by the South Australian Wine Industry Association, 365 Days of Wine and Food, National Wine Education & Training Centre and Adelaide a Great Wine Capital of the World.
